Darren’s so keen to see people get to NCYC in 2009 that he’s willing to lose his hair…
For years people have asked the question “When will you cut that hair Darren?” and for years he’s answered “one day… maybe… perhaps…” This is your chance to see him without the hair, for one time only (because, quite frankly it might not grow back) Darren will have his head shaved… for a price.
Your donations will go towards helping people attend NCYC 2009 in Melbourne (www.ncyc.org.au) if 25 people donated $100 will send 4 people to NCYC… Of course, smaller donations are welcome and most certainly encouraged, but he’d like to think that over 15 years of long hair (at least 2 of which included a mullet) $2500 isn’t much to ask.
The plan is to give half of the money raised to NCYC in order for them to distribute to indigenous delegates, so it’s not all about us sending our own young people, it’s about us giving others the chance to go as well.
People who donate will be sent the youtube url of the event as it happened, all clipped and edited (hopefully the day of the shave) and posted on youtube for you all to enjoy. Those who donate $100 or more shall receive a lock of the hair, a photo of the head completely clean and, if we’re able to hook it up properly may be able to view the shave live and online.
Donations and promises of sponsorship can be mailed, phoned or emailed in to the contact details provided. Please pass on the information and contact details to as many people as you know who may be interested in seeing this hairy man go without the hair…
