Cheryl Lawrie in Victoria coordinates the “Alternative Worship Project” a project that is creating a number of remarkable stories, liturgies, spaces and dreams. Cheryl’s been working in prisons, creating liturgies and spaces that are incarnated in the space and people. She has also created public spaces o allow people to reflect on Christmas, Lent, God, Job… some of which have been curated in venues like basements.
Many of the liturgies created by Cheryl and the project are often inspiring, regularly insightful and always inspired, creative, beautiful and stunning. Cheryl’s created many spaces and liturgies that reflect and allow us to reflect on ourselves, our world, our faith, our god, our stories and more…
The blog has a large collection of liturgies for Lent and Easter that people can access and use in their liturgies, I’d encourage that if people do use them in any way to let her know by commenting on the blog, or emailing her about how you used the piece. I’d also encourage people to attempt to create similar spaces to that which she describes in her writings.
