Jonny Baker’s project “Proost” which is both a subscription based service and a resource download and access site has just added Si Smith’s Advent resource “25″ to the list of already great resources available on the site. Some people might have already seen his series of illustrations on Jesus’ 40 days in the wilderness, I’ve used them in a few places in the presbytery already, this resource will also be added to my bag of tricks that I carry around with me from place to place.
The cut out and fold flatpack models are fantastic and easy to use while the calendar is one of the best Advent Calendars I’ve seen, use it online or hang it up in the house, or in the church…
25 is a set of comic pages from illustrator si smith. each comic page tells an aspect of the christmas story. the speech bubbles on the pages have been left blank for you to fill in or tell the story in your own words and ways. there is also a digital advent calendar with 25 windows that are hyperlinks to the comic page of that number. as if that wasn’t enough, there are then 25 flatpack models that you can print on card, cut out and glue to make the characters that relate to the day of that number.
