Brian Mclaren, Author and Pastor in the US reflects on the Worship Industry and his conflicted relationship with the word “Worship.” Have we developed a culture of consumers of pre-created worship experiences? Have we created a culture in which people walk into a church expecting a list of expectations to be fulfilled, what does it mean when people say “i didn’t feel worshipful today”?
What if everything isn’t pretty, isn’t about feeling great, what if being honest in worship sometimes means that we’re not happy?
Is our worship more like an infomercial than a service of reflection on God’s word?
